Breast Imaging

Course information

This course is aimed at residents in their 4th and 5th year of training in radiology and recently board-certified radiologists interested in Breast Imaging. It is strictly adhered to Level II of the European Training Curriculum and is intended to provide an in-depth view into modern state-of-the-art imaging in breast diseases. The course includes six topics consisting of 40 minutes of theory and case presentations followed by a live Q&A section after each session for interaction with the faculty members.

Learning objectives

• - to appreciate the need of structured reporting to understand how to communicate breast imaging findings to patients
• - to learn the principles and objectives of population screening
• - to understand the potential of mammography and MRI in the preoperative setting
• - to be acquainted with imaging-guided interventions and their indications

How to collect CME credits 

4 European CME credits (ECMEC) accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education.

A CME certificate will be issued automatically if the following criteria are met: 

- You need to attend the course online via live stream in full length.

- You have to complete the electronic evaluation questionnaire. To do so, please click the “Course Evaluation” button displayed on the right column of the course page or go to the section “My Evaluation” of your ESR Connect account.

Evaluation is open from today 16:00 CET until February 24, 2021 23:59 CET and CME certificates can be downloaded in your ESR Connect user area under 'My Certificates'.
