Description

This course is aimed at residents in their 4th and 5th year of training in radiology and recently board-certified radiologists interested in Cardiac Imaging. It is strictly adhered to Level II of the European Training Curriculum and is aimed to familiarise radiologists with the latest technical and methodological advances and with a systematic approach to selected clinical problems in Cardiovascular Imaging. The course includes six topics consisting of 40 minutes of theory and case presentations followed by a live Q&A section after each session for interaction with the faculty members.

Learning objectives

  • - to learn about the possibilities of using CT and MR in the diagnosis of acute and stable coronary artery disease
  • - to become familiar with non-invasive diagnosis of peripheral arterial occlusive disease
  • - to understand the role of cardiac MRI in the characterisation and differential diagnosis of non-ischemic myocardial diseases
  • - to learn about the key role of imaging in acute aortic syndromes
  • - to become familiar with diagnosis and grading of carotid disease

How to collect CME credits

4 European CME credits (ECMEC) accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education.

A CME certificate will be issued automatically if the following criteria are met:
