This course is aimed at residents in their 4th and 5th year of training in radiology and recently board-certified radiologists interested in Paediatric Radiology. It is strictly adhered to Level II of the European Training Curriculum and aims to familiarise general radiologists dealing in everyday practice with children suffering from disorders different to those of adult patients. Knowledge about how to best image and recognise the underlying pathology will be provided. The course includes six topics consisting of 40 minutes of theory and case presentations followed by a live Q&A section after each session for interaction with the faculty members.

Learning objectives

  1. to acquire knowledge about the applications of interventional radiology in paediatric disorders
  2. to become familiar with oncologic imaging in paediatrics
  3. to learn how to recognise the most common metabolic disorders of the brain
