Radiomics and decision processes in tumor imaging: integrating quantitative biomarkers with passive annotations
Nina Baumgartner, Zurich / Switzerland
Laura Fontanesi, Zürich / Switzerland
In the first part, we explore how radiomic biomarkers can inform therapy decisions in pediatric tumors by leveraging a large, clinically diverse dataset. In the second part, we discuss how insights from decision science and human-computer interaction—such as modeling radiologists’ speech, gaze, and response times—might help reducing annotation burdens and provide deeper understanding of expert reasoning in medical imaging.
