IND 44 - Imaging Insights: ARIA Identification in Early Symptomatic Alzheimer's Disease

Lectures

Imaging Insights: ARIA Identification in Early Symptomatic Alzheimer’s Disease provides imaging physicians with essential education to strengthen their role in caring for patients receiving amyloid-targeting therapies (ATTs). This ISS focuses on understanding the pathophysiology and risk factors associated with amyloid-related imaging abnormalities (ARIA), implementing standardized MRI protocols and grading scales to improve detection and severity assessment, and enhancing interdisciplinary communication to support timely management. As ATTs become more widely used, radiologists, neuroradiologists, and imaging trainees worldwide face critical knowledge and practice gaps that can delay ARIA recognition and disrupt patient care. This activity addresses these needs by equipping imaging specialists with the tools and strategies necessary for consistent monitoring, accurate reporting, and effective collaboration, ultimately promoting safer and more coordinated care for patients with early symptomatic Alzheimer’s disease.
