ESOR Session

ESOR - Pushing the boundary of education

March 1, 16:00 - 17:30 CET

This ESOR session is focused on education and how teaching should evolve over the coming years. Teaching is, of course, the essential pillar of our medical training and specialisation. It continues throughout our medical career, and postgraduate teaching needs to adapt to today's modes of communication. Several speakers will demonstrate how education should be delivered today and what young radiologists expect from it. There will also be two presentations aimed at improving the quality of teaching, on the one hand by improving the way in which content is presented and on the other hand by improving the importance of medical illustrations in teaching our speciality. Another way of improving education is through the ESOR programmes, and we will hear from a radiologist who has been awarded the Nicholas Gourtsoyiannis Fellowship. Finally, this session is also an opportunity to give award certificates to young radiologists who have been selected to take part in an ESOR training programme this year.
