Learning Objectives

  1. to learn the principles of hybrid medical imaging
  2. to learn the key clinical questions at different points in the patient’s journey
  3. to understand the indications, limitations and comparative merits of each part in hybrid medical imaging in a wide range of oncologic and non-oncologic conditions, including prostate cancer, breast cancer, esophageal cancer as well as inflammation and infection.
  4. to appreciate the complementary roles of structural and functional/molecular imaging in cancer management
  5. to understand how information derived from imaging guides patient selection for treatment and supports individualised treatment planning
  6. to learn about advanced applications of hybrid imaging, such as theranostics, new radiopharmaceuticals and machine learning in hybrid imaging
