COURSE INFORMATION

The ESOR Foundation Courses are a series of online courses aimed at residents in their 4th and 5th year of training in radiology and recently board-certified radiologists, but suitable for anyone who wishes to refresh their fundamentals as well. Through a wide range of topics, this series covers all of the bases and sets you up for clinical and academical success.

This course provides a solid foundation in chest imaging with emphasis on clinically relevant and frequently encountered thoracic conditions. Core topics include pulmonary nodules, pleural disease, smoking-related lung diseases, fibrotic lung diseases, sarcoidosis and fungal infections. Through expert lectures and interactive case-based sessions, participants will develop structured approaches to imaging interpretation and enhance their ability to integrate radiological findings into clinical care.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  • To learn how to differentiate common and less common thoracic conditions using imaging patterns
  • To apply a structured approach to the detection, characterization and management of pulmonary nodules and other thoracic diseases
