COURSE INFORMATION

The ESOR Foundation Courses are a series of online courses aimed at residents in their 4th and 5th year of training in radiology and recently board-certified radiologists, but suitable for anyone who wishes to refresh their fundamentals as well. Through a wide range of topics, this series covers all of the bases and sets you up for clinical and academical success.

On its third edition, this course aims to provide insights into the fundamentals and advanced applications of ultrasound techniques, with interactive talks presented by a panel of experts, starting with theory essentials to then dive deeper into practical cases with active participation from the audience. Also, a ‘soft skills’ talk is being introduced this year as a novelty, with the aim to provide the audience with a more holistic approach to ultrasound, this time focusing on the paediatric patients.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  • To become familiar with main ultrasound findings in the lungs
  • To get in-depth knowledge of soft tissue lumps/vascular malformations and neck pathology
  • To broaden the knowledge of peripheral and visceral Doppler ultrasound, including its application in solid organ transplantation.
