IND 53 - From detection to intervention: how modern digital mammography guides the patient’s path

In recent years, technological advancements have enabled digital mammography systems to extend their role far beyond basic diagnostic imaging. Modern machines now support multiple levels of diagnostic assessment as well as interventional procedures, serving both biopsy and therapeutic (excision) purposes.
This session is designed to cover all stages involving digital mammography throughout a patient’s journey—from initial illness detection (screening) to intervention procedures such as vacuum-assisted biopsy (VAB) and vacuum-assisted excision (VAE).
