This session is aimed at learning about statistical tests for diagnostic research as well as their limitations, and study designs in relation to specific research questions.

Learning objectives:

  • To learn about the most commonly used statistical tests for diagnostic research (accuracy, sensitivity, specificity, etc).
  • To understand the importance and various types of study design for specific research questions.
  • To realise that additional methodology is required for assessing clinical utility.

ESR/ESOR Fundamentals of Radiological Research

Suitable for any ESR member interested in undertaking research, but with a particular focus on those early in their careers. This course consists of 5 online sessions led by luminaries in the field and aims to present some of the fundamental aspects of radiological research.

On-Demand availability

You will find the on-demand recording of this course in the "My Courses" section of your ESR Connect account. The recording will be available until January 16, 2024. With the Premium Education Package, the recording will be available until December 31, 2024.
 

How to collect CME credits

A CME certificate will be issued automatically if the following criteria are met:
