COURSE INFORMATION

The programme of this webinar will cover the dos and don’ts of optimisation of cardiac and vascular computed tomography procedures. It is aimed at radiologists, radiographers, and medical physicists who want to improve their skills in:

  • Securing adequate diagnostic image quality in cardiac and vascular CT scans
  • Avoiding image artefacts and finding an optimal balance between radiation exposure and image quality
  • To be able to select the appropriate protocol according to the clinical information

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

After watching the webinar, participants will be able to:

  • Learn to optimise the iodine contrast bolus, scan timing and eventually the contrast enhancement in cardiac and vascular CT scans
  • Know how to use ECG gating techniques and scanner software to mitigate motion related artefacts in cardiac CT and gated vascular scans
  • Interpret case-based examples that demonstrate effective application of optimisation principles in cardiovascular imaging

On-demand access is exclusively available for holders of the ESR Premium Education Package.
