COURSE INFORMATION

The programme of this webinar will cover the dos and don’ts of optimisation of Chest computed tomography procedures. It is aimed at radiologists, radiographers, and medical physicists who want to improve their skills in:

  • Securing adequate diagnostic image quality in Chest CT scans
  • Avoiding image artefacts and finding an optimal balance between radiation exposure and image quality

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

After watching the webinar, participants will be able to:

  • Review key considerations in radiation dose reduction for chest CT in both routine and high-risk populations.
  • Evaluate common errors in protocol selection, scan range, and contrast use that can lead to unnecessary exposure.
  • Analyse real-world clinical cases to illustrate optimal techniques for thoracic CT in various clinical settings
  • Understand the moderate magnitude of radiation exposure to fetus in case of pregnant patient pulmonary embolism scan and the possibility to optimise those scans

On-demand access is exclusively available for holders of the ESR Premium Education Package.
