Head and Neck MR Imaging

October 6, 2021 | 10:00 CEST

Course information

This course is intended for senior residents, board-certified radiologists, and fellows interested in Head & Neck MR Imaging. The course will be a one-day intensive programme including cutting-edge lectures and case presentations. The topics covered reflect the variety and diversity of the anatomical structures and related functions that comprise the Head and Neck. The main focus will be on applying MR to a selection of some of the most common clinical problems. The combination of lecture and case presentation, in particular, is aimed to refresh crucial clinical elements, define the most appropriate choice of MR sequences, and provides a check list of key information for diagnosis and treatment planning. Among the subjects enclosed are the role of MR in the treatment planning of upper aerodigestive tract neoplasms, MR diagnostic algorithms in the diagnosis of neck and orbital masses, and sensorineural hearing loss. The faculty consists of internationally renowned European speakers sharing their expertise in clinical radiology and in education as well as their best illustrative cases.

Learning objectives

- to learn about planning an MR study in sensorineural hearing loss
- to be familiar with the essential imaging findings in the differential diagnosis of neck masses
- to refresh knowledge about the treatment planning of upper aerodigestive tract neoplasms
- to learn about the multiparametric MR approach to the diagnosis of parotid gland mass
