Industry Symposium by Philips
In high demand during the best of times, medical imaging resources have been dramatically challenged by COVID-19. From emergency triage of acute patients, to follow-up assessment of patients struggling with the aftermath of the disease, the imaging community has used creativity, resourcefulness, and teamwork to respond to the pandemic. In this symposium we discuss how clinical teams have risen to the imaging challenges of COVID-19, finding new ways to implement standard modalities, forging clinical and operational innovations to meet demand, and changing and improving the standards of care to meet the crisis – now and into the future.
Learning objectives: Understand the ways the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted the imaging community, from diagnosis and staging of acute patients to clinical sequelae of the disease; learn about tactics employed in response; and evaluate longterm implications for treatment and operations.
