COURSE INFORMATION

Research is an integral part of our radiological practice. Whether you’re conducting your own studies or implementing research findings in your daily clinical routine, it is important to know about the fundamentals of radiological research.

This season of the Fundamentals of Radiological Research Course addresses essential topics in the clinical and research arena: statistics methodology, academic writing, continuing education and the correct use of AI. Each session is led by luminaries in the field and includes ample time for questions from the audience.

Biomarker research is one of the fastest-growing areas in radiology, but getting it right, reproducibility, standardisation, regulatory requirements, is far from straightforward. This session will provide a practical grounding in the essentials of biomarker research, the ESR EIBALL Biomarker Inventory and other frameworks and reproducibility requirements.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  • Understand the key principles of biomarker research in radiology, including reproducibility and standardisation.

  • Explore the ESR EIBALL Biomarker Inventory and other relevant frameworks for biomarker research.

  • Identify regulatory requirements and reproducibility standards essential for reliable biomarker development and validation.
