COURSE INFORMATION
The ESOR Foundation Courses are a series of online courses aimed at residents in their 4th and 5th year of training in radiology and recently board-certified radiologists, but suitable for anyone who wishes to refresh their fundamentals as well. Through a wide range of topics, this series covers all of the bases and sets you up for clinical and academical success.
This course aims to provide a comprehensive overview of neuroradiology through six focused lectures covering emergency head CT practice, infectious and inflammatory conditions, tumour diagnosis, advanced MRI diffusion techniques, multiple sclerosis and mimics, and practical strategies to distinguish glioma from other pathologies in clinical reporting settings with accuracy and confidence.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
- To develop a structured approach to interpreting emergency head CT scans, including accurate identification and reporting of acute findings
- To differentiate key neuroradiological features of meningitis, demyelinating disease, and their common mimics
- To recognise and accurately diagnose common intracranial tumours, including meningioma and glioma
- To apply advanced MRI diffusion imaging techniques, understanding their clinical applications, pitfalls, and limitations
- To enhance confidence and consistency in neuroradiology reporting across a range of acute and chronic neurological conditions
