The ECR 2026 programme is accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) of the UEMS and by the Österreichische Ärztekammer (Austrian Medical Chamber).

Participants may earn up to 33.5 European CME credits (ECMEC®s) in total, with a maximum of 8 CME credits per day for live or on demand sessions. The number of credits recognised may vary according to national regulations.

In Austria, the Österreichische Ärztekammer has granted a maximum of 43 DFP credits for ECR 2026.

Through an agreement between the UEMS and the American Medical Association, EACCME® credits may be converted to AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Details are available via the AMA Ed Hub.

Live educational activities held outside Canada and accredited by UEMS EACCME® are recognised as Accredited Group Learning Activities (Section 1) by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

Information regarding the conversion of EACCME® credits

Credits are awarded on the basis of one (1) hour of participation equalling one credit for all activities. Physicians wishing to convert EACCME® credits to AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ must access the AMA website to obtain the required documentation and instructions. An AMA processing fee applies.
